In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of educational games on the Android platform in New Zealand showcased intriguing trends. Below is an overview of the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Minecraft Education maintained a consistent presence, with weekly downloads starting at around 650 and reaching over 1.2K by the end of March. The app saw an increase in weekly active users, peaking at approximately 2.5K.

Reading Eggs - Learn to Read experienced a steady rise in weekly revenue, culminating at about $2.6K. Downloads fluctuated, starting from 505 and ending at 584, while active users peaked at 2.9K before closing at 2.6K.

The newly launched ABCmouse 2: Kids Learning Game showed a notable increase in downloads post-launch, from 43 to nearly 3K, with active users climbing to 2.6K. Revenue, however, remained modest.
